How Do I Create My Sellzw Account and Set Up My Store?

Quick answer: Go to sellzw.com/register and enter your name, email, a password (at least 8 characters) and an optional store name, then accept the terms. Your store goes live straight away at sellzw.com/your-store-name. Next, open Settings to add a profile photo, bio, store colour, WhatsApp support number and an EcoCash or bank payout method.

Step 1: Sign up for a free account

Go to sellzw.com/register and fill in four fields:

Full name: your real name.
Email address: one you check often. Sale notifications and receipts go here.
Password: at least 8 characters. Don't reuse a password from another site.
Store name (optional): your brand or your own name, for example "Rudo's Kitchen" or "Tafara Beats". If you skip it, Sellzw names your store "[Your name]'s Store", and you can change it later.

Tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Seller Agreement, then tap Create your store. You'll land in your seller dashboard, and your store is already live.

Step 2: Choose your store link

Your store link is the address you'll share everywhere, so make it short and easy to type. Sellzw creates one from your store name, and you can change it in Settings → Store Settings → Store URL.

Your link will look like this: sellzw.com/rudos-kitchen

Rules: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only. Some words, such as "blog", are reserved by Sellzw and can't be used.

Tips for a good store link:

Keep it short: sellzw.com/tafarabeats beats sellzw.com/tafara-music-production-studio-harare.
Match your social media name so people recognise you.
Avoid numbers and odd spellings that are hard to say out loud.
Decide before you share it. If you change your link later, every link you've already posted on WhatsApp or Facebook stops working.

Step 3: Add your photo, store name and bio

A clear photo and a good bio make strangers trust you enough to pay. In Settings:

Profile picture: use a clear photo of your face or your logo.
Store name: the name buyers see at the top of your store.
Store bio: 2–3 sentences on what you sell, who it's for, and why you're the right person to buy from.

Example bio:

"I'm Rudo, a home baker in Harare with 8 years' experience. I sell step-by-step baking guides and recipe ebooks for people who want to start a cake business from home. Over 300 students trained."

Step 4: Pick your store colour

Choose a colour that matches your brand. Sellzw uses it for the buttons, prices and links in your store. In Store Settings → Store Colour, pick a colour or type a hex code, and you'll see a live preview of your Buy Now button. Leave it empty to use the default Sellzw green.

Tip: pick a darker, strong colour so white button text stays easy to read.

Step 5: Add your WhatsApp support number

Add a WhatsApp number so buyers can reach you if they need help. It builds trust and saves sales. In Store Settings → WhatsApp Support Number, enter your number in international format without the +, for example 263771234567. Buyers will see a WhatsApp chat link.

There's also an optional Your WhatsApp Number field. It's private and only used by the Sellzw team to contact you about payouts, verification or your account. Buyers never see it.

Step 6: Add your payout method

Tell Sellzw where to send your money: EcoCash or a Zimbabwean bank account. Go to Settings → Payout Settings:

EcoCash: enter the name your EcoCash account is registered under and your EcoCash number.
Bank transfer: choose your bank, then enter the account holder name, account number and branch (optional).

Confirm with your password and save. You'll need to enter your password again whenever you change payout details. That stops anyone else redirecting your money.

Step 7: Verify your identity (before you reach $100)

Verifying early means nothing slows down your first big withdrawal. Once your total earnings reach $100, you must be verified to withdraw. In Settings → Account Verification, enter your name and National ID number exactly as they appear on your ID, and upload a photo of yourself holding the ID. The review takes 24–48 hours. Step 8: Turn on two-factor authentication (recommended)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your store and your money even if someone learns your password. In Settings → Two-Factor Authentication, link an authenticator app on your phone. From then on, signing in needs your password and a code from your phone.
